On Friday 7 October at 7pm, Archbishop Justin will be at Worcester Arena talking religion and current affairs with the BBC journalist Jeremy Vine. Audience members will have the chance to ask questions and there will be a performance from a choir put together from local church schools. During the day on Friday the Archbishop will meet children from schools across Worcestershire and Dudley in a special event in Worcester Cathedral. The children will be able to put their own questions to Archbishop Justin as well as taking part in activities around faith and prayer. There will also be an afternoon tea at the Three Counties Showground for members of the rural community.

On Saturday 8 October there will be a breakfast event for business leaders followed by a ‘retreat in daily life’ service at the Cathedral for the clergy and lay ministers of the Diocese. All are then welcome to come to St. Stephen’s Church in Redditch from 1.30pm for craft, stories and refreshments for families. Archbishop Justin will be retelling the story of Jesus walking on water and children will be able to make crafts, eat cake and have a go on the bouncy castle!

In the evening of 8 October, Archbishop Justin will meet members of the interfaith community at Dudley Council House, followed by ‘The Power of Hope’, when he will be in conversation with Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai. This event will take place at Dudley College in front of a specially invited audience of young people and adults.

On Sunday 9 October, Archbishop Justin will visit Merry Hill shopping centre from 2.30pm. Along with other local church members, the Archbishop will walk around the centre, praying for those he meets. The Archbishop’s visit will then be concluded with a special ‘Songs of Praise’ style event, with plenty of songs and hymns that everyone will be able to join in with!

The Bishop of Dudley, Graham Usher, is part of the team organising the visit. He said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to have Archbishop Justin with us for these three days. We can show him the great work being done by our churches in their local communities. Through the public events, we hope as many people as possible will get a chance to see and interact with him. It’s going to be a busy three days, but will be lots of fun!”
