The church is a family, and we all play a part. Whether it’s serving season by season or stepping in occasionally, every role matters. From offering a welcoming smile on the door or brewing a fresh cup of coffee, to praying with people or playing on the worship team—we’d love for you to get stuck in!
God has given each of us different gifts according to His grace, for His glory, and for the expansion of His Kingdom here in Redditch and beyond.
To help you find where your unique gifts fit best, we break our serving opportunities down into three distinct layers of involvement:
1. ☕ Community Roles
Keeping our shared life running smoothly, welcoming newcomers, and serving our church family behind the scenes. Examples include: Hospitality & Coffee Team, Finance & Administration, Audio-Visual (AV), Social Media, Bible Readings, Church Cleaning, Events Management, and Safeguarding.
2. 🌱 Ministry Roles
Directly encouraging spiritual growth, supporting individuals, and helping lead people to Jesus. Examples include: Worship Team, Prayer Ministry, Youth Team, Children & Families Ministry, Pastoral Team, Communion Servers, Evangelism, and Authorised Lay Ministry.
3. 🛡️ Leadership Roles
Helping guide the vision, spiritual health, and strategic direction of St Stephen’s. Examples include: Trustees, Ministry Team Leaders, Lay Leadership, Worship Leaders, Service Leaders, Preaching & Teaching, Small Group Leaders, and Vision & Strategy Group members.
Pray and listen to where the Lord might be calling you to get involved. We'd love to help you find your spot!

Conversations started back in March 2023 that place St Stephen’s Redditch at the centre of a regional strategy for renewal in the Anglican church. The rubber is hitting the road now and so beginning in autumn 2024 we’re going to experience some flux.
